About
Our Story
Some things in Myrtle Beach come and go. Bennett's Calabash Seafood has been here since 1978.
For 47 years, we've been serving the Grand Strand the way a good seafood buffet should be — fresh, honest, and cooked with care. We're not the flashiest place on Kings Highway, and we're not trying to be. What we are is consistent. The crab legs come out hot. The shrimp is fresh. The salmon is baked the way it should be. And when you sit down, somebody's going to take care of you.
Three generations of Grand Strand families have pulled up a chair at our tables — first-timers who wandered in off the highway and regulars who've been coming since before we can remember. We treat them all the same: like family.
What Is Calabash-Style Seafood?
If you've never heard of Calabash-style seafood, here's the story: Calabash is a small fishing town on the North Carolina coast — the self-proclaimed "Seafood Capital of the World" — where a simple tradition was born. Fresh-caught seafood, lightly battered, lightly fried, and served without fuss.
It's a style that spread across the Carolina coast because it works: let the seafood speak for itself. We've been cooking that way for 47 years, and we're not changing.
What's on the Buffet
Our all-you-can-eat buffet runs over 100 items on any given day:
- AYCE snow crab legs — the star of the show
- Calabash-style fried shrimp, oysters, scallops & flounder
- Steamed clams, mussels & shellfish
- Shrimp & grits and our signature seafood gumbo
- Homemade crabcakes
- Slow-roasted prime rib & rib-eye steaks
- Southern fried chicken & country sides
- A full dessert bar
Everything is made fresh and replenished throughout the night, because we think that's the only way to do it.
